Reiki Healing: The name (pronounced RAY KEY) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. This energy is transmitted through the hands of the practitioner to promote healing, wholeness, balance, and relief from stress to the person in need. The technique is also called the Usui system of natural healing in honor of Dr. Mikao Usui whose perseverance lead to the re-discovery of this ancient healing system and technique in the mid-1800s.

Ki is the Japanese word for Life Force (Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit, Mana in Hawaiian, ect.). Rei, indicates the cosmic or universal aspect of this energy. Our individual 'Ki' may be limited, but universal 'Reiki' is without limits, and flows through the body charging every cell with new vitality, strengthening the weak and acting as a catalyst to the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Because many parts of the body are so inter-connected, a 'full-body' treatment is always recommended (except in cases of fresh injuries). Pain may be felt far from its source, and prevention of problems that have not reached the symptomatic level is best. A traditional treatment takes at least one hour. The client lies comfortably and fully clothed on a massage table (or something similar) while the hands of the Reiki practitioner are gently placed on various positions on the head, front and back of the body. A Reiki treatment usually feels wonderfully relaxing and induces a strong feeling of inner peace and contentment. Afterwards, the recipient may feel energized or the need to sleep, depending on the condition of the body at the time.

In a Spiritual sense, Reiki is a form of Pure Love that is manifest as Light, and because Reiki is pure love, it helps a person see who they really are. Reiki works on all levels on ones being, gently releasing stress and tension from within the physical and energy bodies. Occasionally, clients have been known to see colours too.

When Reiki energy is channeled into the human energy field or aura, because it has its own awareness/intelligence it can establish the course of a persons life, it knows where to go and what to do to repair and bring about healing. Therefore, adding colour, vitality, and a feeling of deep peace and well-being to the person who is receiving the healing. When channeled into the chakras or vital energy centers of the body, which control the function of the endocrine glands (which can become blocked and out of balance through illness), the clients higher-self helps during the healing, to direct the energy in such a way, which helps repair and restore them to their natural function.

The following problems can be helped by receiving Reiki healing: mental, emotional and psychological trauma, PMS, PMT, headaches, stress, tension, back pain, reproductive system problems, emotional problems, grief, burn out, nervous tension and exhaustion, energetic blockages, anger and low energy levels and depression, insomnia, restlessness, hyperactivity, fatigue, joint problems and burns.

Reiki can also be helpful during pregnancy, especially in the early months (first months), when nausea and vomiting are present. It has also proved helpful for difficulty early on in the pregnancy, as it can help to strengthen a weak conception.

Reiki has also proved to be a benefit and comfort to both animals and people who are dying, thus helping with the transition from the physical world.

Earthing and grounding. People because of their make up, sometimes have difficulty staying grounded, centered and earthed, which does not make them any different from anyone else. This can be for a number of reasons, such as their astrological make up, or a current challenging life situation, or a traumatic past experience, which has effected the course or direction in life, that stems from a lack of support. Whatever the cause, Reiki treatments can be given to the feet and legs, to open up the meridian channels, so that the flow of energy from within the aura can circulate in a more balanced way. The gentle electrical current flows through the legs and into the hips and pelvis, again, another area which can be blocked due to trauma, from surgery or negative and harmful past sexual experiences. Reiki treatments gently dissolve the areas, which are blocked and where there is a restricted flow of life force energy.

Psychic Tie Cutting. Psychic ties and cords are formed through difficult relationships. They are like strands of fishing line, with hooked or barbed ends, which are in most cases invisible. Quite often, people experience difficult, and, in some cases, harmful relationships during childhood and adult life, which can continue with similar patterns right through ones life, and where these ties or cords are present, and because of the nature of their origins, they can cause a lack of energy and feelings of being stuck to another person and unable to let go or move on. This can be the case too, if someone is in the other world.

Psychic ties and cords and their formation are related to both the events and emotions from the time the difficulties occurred. Because the chords extend to a persons energy bodies, there can be difficulty cutting or removing them. However, these cords can be removed, through invocation to the Ascended Masters (spirit guides/helpers), who undertake the cutting work. Negative and harmful ties are removed, and the more wholesome ones become strengthened. Once the chords have been cut, it helps to free up the emotion and events from the circumstances through, which the ties were formed. This healing is very effective for individuals who have experienced sexual, physical and emotional trauma/abuse. It is also effective for cutting ties with people who are now in the spiritual dimension of life.

Seichem Healing. This system originated from the same Indian Sutras in which Dr Usui found the traditional Reiki Symbols. The elemental energies of Seichem are Sakara, Sophi-El and Angelic-light. It has been understood that the Ascended Masters want people to be attuned to these higher frequencies, thus bringing down higher vibrations into the earth plane, as this will assist in personal and planetary healing.

Sakara. Is manifest as the Fire element, and is experienced as hot and tingling, (crackling), like a mild electric current. Sakara works well in the electro-magnetic aura surrounding the body. It also cleanses the chakras, and burns through blockages, which it transforms. Sakara adds the fire breath of the Holy Spirit.

Sophi-El. Is manifest as the Water element and is experienced as gentle pulsating coolness. Sophi-El aids emotional and sexual healing, as deep emotional issues are able to surface and often transform what happens quite quickly. It opens the heart to receive love and to feel compassion.
​
Angelic-Light. Is a two fold ray, working with both the Air element and the Angelic realm. Angelic-light works effectively as a channel of communication between the Angels, the Holy Spirit and the Higher-Self of the client. It also adds power to the spoken work. Angelic-light is commonly experienced as light cool breezes, accompanied by sensations of healing work being carried out nowhere near to the hands of the healer.

Reiki healing & animals. As Reiki works on the mind, body and spirit of human beings, the same applies for animals in a number of different ways. It gently but powerfully helps speed up the healing process for animals who have had surgery, and is also good for treating those that have been abused or that have behavioral problems, as it helps relieve fear and anxiety, and provides comfort and revitalization for older animals too. Because animals are empathetic, or sensitive to the moods, feelings and issues of their owners, in some cases, the root of a problem may belong to the animal's owner, and not the animal! The usual time for treating an animal, is approximately 30 minutes. It is common to treat the animal in the place it lives, or in a comfortable environment, which is quiet and where it feels safe and relaxed.

Please note that it is also important to stress that Reiki is not a substitute for psychological/conventional help. Psychotherapy/psychological help can be of great benefit for persons who have been traumatized, and a combination of the two can be beneficial.
Distance or Absentee healing is also offered as part of the healing service to clients. With Reiki, the Master-Teacher has the ability to transcend time and space to initiate healing. This is done telepathically from a distance, and requires no elaborate display or act, as with physical healing, the distance healing is undertaken with empathy and compassion. Distant healing can be sent to anywhere in the world at any time.
When there is a request for distant healing, I will need a photograph of the person or animal concerned, or information about a difficult situation which needs healing to bring about a positive outcome for the highest good.
The recipient may be asked to lie down in a comfortable position at the same time each day or evening, in order to receive the healing.
Healing is sent once each day over a period of 3 consecutive days.
As with physical healing, there is a charge for this work.
